Bridget Hauser
Starting at 8 years old playing in a neighbor’s art and clay studio I began a lifelong relationship to clay and art. I studied painting, drawing, multi-media, sculpture and pottery with private studio artists throughout High School and College. I received a BA in Ceramic Studio from Indiana University In 1979. As a Midwestern transplant to Texas in 1981 just after the birth of my 2nd daughter I began working at, and then owning part of Clarksville Pottery Studio in Austin. My husband and I evolved the studio to Sunset Canyon Pottery and then opened a gallery and production studio by the same name in Dripping Springs Texas. I closed that Gallery Dec. 2016 after a successful 20 year run in favor of becoming a Studio Artist once again. To that end we built Tree House Studios in San Marcos where I pursue my desire to “play promiscuously in the clay” and to see where my art evolves to.
